Matthew is an experienced theatre director, dramaturg, producer and improviser. He has been Artistic Director & CEO of The Wardrobe Theatre since 2015, one of the South West’s leading fringe studio venues. He regularly creates work for theatres and festivals with companies including The Wardrobe Ensemble and since 2016 he has performed in over 100 episodes of Closer Each Day, the fortnightly live improvised soap opera. He also works as co-director or dramaturg on all of The Wardrobe Theatre’s alternative comedy Christmas shows including The Good, The Bad & The Coyote Ugly, Drac & Jill, Reservoir Mogs, Rocky Shock Horror, Goldilock, Stock & Three Smoking Bears and MDH: Puppets Do A Movie.
